Another Peter Thiel LOTR Defense Roll Up
What this video covers
This video is Kevin's reaction to Valinor Enterprises, a Washington, DC defense tech holding company that has raised $85 million since 2024. Kevin points out that its leadership and investors come from Palantir, Anduril, Founders Fund, and Narya, the fund co-founded by J.D. Vance. He argues this amounts to a conflict of interest and calls it a centralization of private weapons makers. Kevin then watches promotional videos for Valinor portfolio products, including the Dispatch drone dock, the Harbor modular medical container, and the Condor drone. He also mentions Helsing, funded by Spotify's Daniel Ek, and the U.S. ban on DJI drones.

Sounds a lot like the centralization of private weapons manufacturers and being a one-stop shop for everything. And they're just going to manage the government contracts. While they're funded, owned, operated all by people with either close ties to the government or directly in the government, like J.D. Vance. Valarion Enterprises is a DC defense tech holding company that's raised 85 million since launching in 2024. Would you at all be surprised that this was backed by Peter Thiel and involves
Anduril, Palantir, J.D. Vance's fund, and many other Thiel-backed companies? Yeah. Yeah, it's crazy. The founders, CEO Julie Bush, ran Palantir's government business as SVP. All right. A co-founder, Trae Stephens, co-founded Anduril and is a partner at Thiel's Founders Fund. Okay. The other co-founders are Paul Kwan and and Grant Verstandig from Redcell Partners and General Catalyst, right? Which are not Peter Thiel companies. And yeah, so so you see it, so one of them one of the the CEO and one of the founders ran Palantir's government business.
So the contracts, basically. She was in charge of managing the government contracts, which is largely what pays Palantir. Uh the co-founder co-founded Anduril, which is one of Peter Thiel's Twinks companies, Palmer Lucky. And he's a part of Thiel's Founders Fund. Crazy. And then who are their who are partners are? Partners are Anduril and Palantir. Oh, weird. Guess what? It's all Peter Thiel all the way down, guys. All right, the money the $54 million series A in January of 2026 was led by friends and family capital co-funded by
Palantir's former CFO Colin Anderson. Founders Fund invested again. Narya, the fund that JD Vance co-founded with another alum of Thiel's Mithril Capital, joined the round. So, JD Vance is also involved in this. I'm pretty sure that like our politicians aren't like legally allowed to own the type of businesses that deal with government contracts. I mean, I might be wrong about that. Pretty sure that's not legal. Pretty sure that's never been legal. It's called a conflict of interest. And yet, here we are. It really is, I think, the most corrupt government we've ever had in this country. And we have
had a long history of a corrupt government. So, this is kind of a crazy time, honestly. Valinor. Actually, they have pretty cool logo. I I hate that they like all of Thiel's companies have great logos. Like Anduril and Palantir both have great logos. Anyway, let's check out Valinor a little bit more. Solving the problems others don't. And we're just solving problems, guys. Solving problems. We're just solving problems, dude. What do you What do you care? What's your problem? We're going to solve it. Cuz we solve problems. That's what we do. Valinor is a new kind of defense and government tech company. We build and
buy mission-critical technologies to fill the gaps others ignore. The one-stop shop for everything your military needs. Not every critical problem makes noise. For every loud leap forward, there are thousands of quiet, unaddressed problems that leave us vulnerable, stalling missions, and cracking systems. Okay, a new way to build resiliency. Oh, lord. Wow. Wow, this is incredible. These guys just they just do it all. They just get it all done. I mean, I build weapons of war, but like how how do I get government contracts? I should probably go to Valenor.
Valenor, and let's have Valenor go out and get me my government contracts. Oh, wait, I I they're just going to own me? Oh, cool. Sounds a lot like the centralization of private weapons manufacturers and being a one-stop shop for everything. And they're just going to manage the government contracts. While they're funded, owned, operated all by people with either close ties to the government or directly in the government, like J.D. Vance. And in some ways like Peter Thiel. So, they got all those that we talked about these backed by visionaries, built with mission partners, founders like
Peter Thiel, friends and family capital. Anduril, Palantir, Helsing. Yeah, Helsing. Do you know what Helsing is? Helsing is an AI death drone company that's been largely funded by Daniel Ek, the owner of Spotify. Yeah. But, don't worry. They only sell to democracies. Didn't say we only sell to America. They said we only sell to democracies. Is there a democracy in the Middle East that's been drone sniping children? I don't know. I don't know a lot about that. Do you guys know about that more about that than I do? Probably. Probably. I don't really know much about that.
But I think there is a democracy somewhere in the Middle East um that is drone striking children for sure for sure. I just but I still I don't know who they are. If you guys know who they are tell me in the chat. Tell me in the chat. This is a fun fun new little company. This is fun guys. We're just like helping. We're just like really solutions oriented. Let's see what this this one is. Dispatch modular charging nodes purpose-built for unmanned systems powering persistent autonomous operations. Yeah, so this this is a system to what? My name is Nicholas Leake, general manager to to power
AI-powered robots. I'm on Dispatch and today I'm really excited to introduce you to one of our first products that expands autonomous systems, the Dispatch dock. Uh these docks are lightweight, uh weather-sealed, ruggedized for operating in a variety of different environments and capable of being mounted on mobile platforms and fixed locations as well. Okay. That's that actually kind of seems stupid. All of that for what? One drone? Uh it seems that seems a bit much. All that for one drone. Let's see the medical system. What do they got for us on the medical system? There's no doubt that the future battlefield looks completely different. Whether it's drone warfare, whether it's
electronic warfare, the unmanned weapon systems, the unmanned vehicle systems systems, those things were around the last 20 years but not nearly the magnitude that they are now. We noticed that there was a huge uh force protection issue with medical providers and leaving doctors and surgeons and medics and nurses far forward on the front line of the troops intense is just not a recipe for survivability and it kind of led to this idea of what if we made a containerized platform that you could use far forward and make it modular and adaptable so that you could pick it up and move it as the flat changed, but also be able to put it on a ship or a rail car on the back of a flatbed and transport casualties that way.
In a nutshell, Harbor is a mobile modular high-end medical resource. Uh it starts off as a 20-ft ISO certified connex container and we embed military and medical grade equipment and technology. This is like something straight out of a video game. You know what I mean? Like you just you see one of those and you like pop it open and you like get some health and some snacks or whatever and you go back out and kill things. That's actually pretty tough. I got to say that this is actually pretty sick. Let's see what Condor does. The US still has no attritable group one drone in mass production, despite Ukraine losing over 10,000 drones every month. Meanwhile, China produces millions of DJI drones annually, giving
them search capacity that we just can't match. Condor is designed to close this gap. Condor is attritable, dual air and ground launch, long-range with both fixed-wing flight and hover capability, can be produced at a high volume with a modular open architecture, all in one package and made in the USA. I like to say that Condor is a platform, not just It's interesting that they even mentioned DJI cuz DJI for sure has the best drone building capabilities anywhere in the world and last year we just made it illegal for DJI products to be sold in the United States. Yeah. That happened like went through last year.
But I think it started becoming a thing this year. It's too expensive for us to make all these drones here, but okay. Doesn't matter. It's all just going to be funded by the government anyway cuz that's what these guys do.
